How to Have a Happy Life

annie eure wearing red talking about how to have a Happy LifeHappiness is a Decision

If having a happy life was as simply as wanting it, most people would be happy all the time. Overall, all of us want to be happy. But, to do that, you need to make the decision to make it happen.

No one can do that for you. There are many ways to have a happy life, but you must first learn to “Love” yourself.

Moms, learning to love ourselves can sometimes be a bit difficult because we give so much love to our children, husbands, family and friends.

Life can be a bit overwhelming at times for us. But these are a few things we can do to make this happen.

Follow these steps every day.

  • Throw out all your negative thoughts, and replace them with happy thoughts.  Our negative thoughts can at times be our worst enemy. We tell ourselves the reason something did, or did not work out for us was because of something we did wrong, and that is not necessarily the case. So, turn those negative thoughts around to happy ones.

  • Start having fun all by yourself.  Remember, happiness is a choice. Don’t expect  someone else to be your happy filler.  Start loving yourself today. See all the good that comes your way and start from there. Say to yourself, these are things I love about myself and focus on those things throughout your day.

  • Have a party to celebrate the “New You”. The nice thing about taking control of your life is knowing that you can celebrate happy things whenever you want to. This party is for you and you only.  No guest. You are the guest of honor. Set a time, and go for it.

  • Start your party off with a “Toast” to your happiness. Forgive yourself for any mistakes made in the past. Toast again for today being another day for the rest of your life to celebrate your happiness.

  • Lastly, Know that you are loved.  When you love yourself, you began to see that God loves you as well.

That is what true happiness is all about. Now, go out and turn the world upside down.

How to Discover your Passion and Purpose

How to Discover your Passion and Purpose

Discovering your Passion and Purpose may be easier than you think. You can’t create it, because it is what you were created to do. Let’s go back to your birth.  When you were born, your parents were open to anything and everything that came your way. You immediately began seeking to find the things in your life that was of special interest to you.  If they gave you something that you did not like, you threw it down immediately.  You could not speak, but you let them know, I don’t like that.  And in your own way of communicating, you said to them, give me something else.  Some things you gravitated to, and other things you did not, you had no interest in them. We began discovering our passion from day #1.  Mom and Dad don’t know it, and you don’t either.  As we continue to mature, we begin to find those comfort levels that says “I am here”. By the time we set , and begin to enjoy them as we choose our life careers. Everyone born has a purpose, so if you find people that tell you they have no purpose, it is because they have not sought to find it.

Many people today make it their mission to go out into the world and seek value and purpose in their lives. The problem is, most of them do not know where to start. Not knowing what your purpose is, can sometime be frustrating, but as you evaluate your gifts and talents and the things that motivates you, you are going in the right direction. Some people find their purpose early in life, and other a bit later.  Whenever it happens, there are a few things you can do to know.

Have you ever looked at an object, and wondered what it was, what it does, or why someone would want it?  Well, every thing created has some kind of purpose or value. This helps us stay focused in finding our true purpose.

The first thing you should do to find your purpose is to develop a relationship with God. Why? Because He created you. Get to know Him and He will give you direction and guidance for your life.  Learn how to talk to God through prayer.  Don’t be shy, just ask Him what His plans are for your life, and believe it when I tell you, that He will reveal it to you if you are listening.

You must be patient, and still to hear Him talk to you.  So, when you are talking to Him, turn off any noise, and avoid distractions. One thing can have more value than the other, but it has a purpose for why it was created.  Nothing creates itself, not even the world you live in, although it was created before you were born. When people realize that they have purpose in life, they are more motivated to stand up and make a difference. Your purpose gives you hope, joy and love for others.  Everyone’s purpose is different, so there is no need to be jealous of someone else’s. Your purpose will influence your behavior, personality and relationships.

Challenges you experience today, help diminish challenges you face tomorrow.

Why Pageant Enhances Success in Girls?

The Pageant the Encourages Success in “Every Girl”

In 2001, my daughter came home and said, “Mom, I want to compete in this beauty Pageant.  It really never dawn on me that she was serious about competing.  So, I reluctantly gave her the money she needed to register, and she went away excited.  Month’s later, she came back to me and asked it I would take her out shopping for a dress and shoes.  She was excited about competing, as she had just been voted captain of the Varsity Cheerleader’s Team, and her self esteem was over the roof.  My husband and I agreed to take her shopping for what she needed to compete in the pageant.  The pageant was in another city, so on that Friday, prior to the day of the pageant, we drove our daughter to the venue, and checked into a hotel. We toured the hotel the night before, and made her familiar with the conference Room where the main event would be held.

The next day, there were so many girls checking into the hotel with their parents. To our amazement, their were 289 girls signed up to compete in the pageant.  There were girls from all around the state, and all of them looked as potential winners for the state queen title.  After about 8 hours of competitions, our daughter was crowned the State Queen. Our daughter’s esteem went over the roof. Her comment was, Mom, “I wish every girl here tonight felt as excited as I feel”.

The next day at breakfast, we talked and made the decision to begin the plans for our own pageant system, and it would be all about Success in every girls feeling beautiful, and loved.  We have kept that as our focus as of today. Each year as our planning team prepares for the pageant, the guidelines remain consistent, Give every girl the same about of time and attention to exhibit her confidence and potential as Queen.   Our pageant would continue to focus on image building, confidence, leadership, personal development, etiquette, speaking and dressing for success. Our overall mission is to change the image of beauty pageants around the world by focusing on the inner beauty and potential for SUCCESS in EVERY girl who competes.

I immediately began planning my very own pageant that would eliminate these barriers of girls feeling lack of confidence. Our pageant would be affordable, and provide online training sessions to prepare delegates for their Success experience.  It is my desire that every girl has the opportunity to become SUCCESSFUL through participation in our Pageant system. Defining Your Life Path

Understanding my Life Path

Each day is a new day to define who you are and understanding your purpose for life.  Did you know walking daily with no purpose, leave us feeling empty at the end of our day.  I grew up in a large family with seven siblings. I don’t think I ever felt empty, but that was because I filled it with so many other things like playing outside, walking the dog, talking to my parents and the other siblings in the home. Back in those days, there was always something going on in our tiny little house. Some may say that my Life Path was already laid out for me.  I can agree somewhat that they were correct.  Why? Because it felt right.  It did not drain me mentally or physically.  It was just the way it was suppose to be.

But today, things are different.  We often find that no matter where we are or what we decide to do in out lives, it always follow a particular life pattern. Have you ever stopped and asked yourself why am I doing this?  It took me awhile to realize that so matter how I tried to plan my day ahead of time, it never worked out that way.  Many people discover their purpose in life at a very young age. Other’s on the other hand, find themselves struggling through life wondering what that path might be, and some of us never truly find our path. Most of the time when this happens, it is because we don’t have a desire to discover it. So, why should we care about where our lives takes us? Well, finding our purpose for life helps us understand who we are, and why we do the things we do.  Does it sometime seem like no matter what you do, it is not our passion to do it, maybe we are doing it to please someone else. A great way to begin on that path is to ask ourselves how do we like what we are doing everyday?  It maybe that you work in an outdoor job, but you do not like the outdoors, and vice versa with working on the inside.  What ever your desires may be, you play a leading role in your path.  When we take a job because it pays a little bit more money that another job, but the work that you are doing you absolutely hate. This is a sign that you are working outside of your comfort zone.

I want to share with you my story, and how I for many years knew that I was not finding the things in my life that made me complete.  I kept on searching and searching and the more I challenged myself to do this, and do that, I became more and more frustrated.  It can take years to understand your life path, because there are so many roles that plays in the dynamics to finding your true self.  It starts with you search for your true meaning for why you do what you do.
