Doing What You Absolutely Love!

But you can change that.  Yes, that’s right.  You can choose happiness and fulfillment by starting today, doing what inspires you. Get up from behind that desk, and start living the life you were meant to live by doing what you absolutely love.

Sitting behind a desk, day after day, doing repetitive, monotonous office work can get you down. But you have to be the one that put a stop to it. Start doing what you absolutely love today. Change your scenery.

When I started my online marketing business career back in 2001. I was working a full time job at a Big 10 University. My office had no windows, and it had originally been used for a storage area. So, day after day, I just sat there starring at the 4 corners of the wall, trying to stay motivated while doing my daily work, seeing no sunshine day after day, and no people outside enjoying the beautiful weather did get me down.

So, one day, with no previous planning, I got up, out of my chair and walked to the Employment Office within the building and requested a date for my termination.  I made up my mind that day, that I wanted to do what inspired me, what gave me purpose, what was my passion. I was lead to doing community outreach. I had been involved in sponsoring Spelling Bee’s in the community for more than 25 years. I saw the joy that came from those little children, just learning how to “spell” one word.  I think I got more excitement out of it than they did. The parents were literally crying when they saw their child succeed in spelling just one work.  How inspiring, I thought! Yes, this was me. This was my passion. Working with people in the community.

As a mother of 5 daughters, that struggled with their identity, and dealing with many issues during their teen years. I knew that this would be an area of great need and compassion. In trying to find my passion to make the world a better place, it did not take me long to define my niche. It was starring me in the face, and I could not deny it anymore.

So, I started my first home based business career around the needs of my teen daughters, and the many daughters of moms and dads throughout my state. Each one of my daughters were involved in the planning and creating process of the business in assisting other girls in finding their identity, and learn to love themselves in the process.  This method of teaching and learning is a double edged sword that allowed my daughters to find themselves in the process of helping others, and they loved it.

Each one of us have a passion. A passion that drives us to do what we do, and a desire to make the world a better place to live in. When defining your life passion, it is important to search for that deep inner desire that lives inside you and won’t go away.  Begin seeking your true self. Not what someone else told you, but your longing for it.  It is there, and all you need to do, is have that desire to discover what it is. Begin by asking yourself, how do I feel about what I am doing?  Am I motivated? Am I confident in my own abilities? How does it make me feel? Does it bring me joy?  Does it give me a peace? Am I fulfilled when I am doing it? Does it have a purpose?  Am I inspired to stick with it even when I don’t want to?  If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, you are most likely on the right track to finding you passion for life and career..

Networking your Business for Success

Ladies, how do we create success in our online business?  We need to talk more to one another.  If you are a person that enjoys conversing with other people, sharing ideas, and exploring new ways to doing things, an sharing what works for you, that is defined as “Network Marketing”.  Absolutely fabulous! Most of the time, people don’t realize that we network with others in the most simplest fashion. Just be your gorgeous self and go out there and smile. Take that mean look off your face, and show the world that you have so much to smile about.  I was shopping the other day, minding my own business, and out of nowhere this lady approached me, she was happy about an item that she was shopping for was on sale at a rate that she could purchase three of them, for the price that she would normally pay for just one. I thanked her for making me aware of the great sale, and we proceeded to talk about not seeing each other in the area. Then I asked her if she lived in the area, and she said, “yes”, we lived only a couple of miles from each other, and decided to exchange phone numbers, after which we proceeded on in our shopping. The meeting and the introduction was natural.  There was a friendship connection immediately.  Have you ever had anything like that to happen to you?  These contacts tend to be genuine as both of us had a face to face interaction before deciding to exchange our contact information.

Not all connections happen like that, if it did, life would be overflowing with friendships and friendly people. People are more connected when they get to know you.  We  meet people every day, especially when we go to work, often we meet people throughout the day. We carry a sign that says, I wear designer brand name jeans. I wear this name brand tennis shoes.  If people like them, they will ask you where you purchased those item. Throughout our day, we are sending message about ourselves.  We are always giving out information. We are a walking billboard.

Networking as a business is about people exchanging information, contacts, and experiences for professional or social purposes. Networking is much more broader than business, and can be defined in different ways, some use this method to make new friends, dating sites are great examples of that.  Social media is another. Many people find new jobs through a network connections. Others develop new careers through the friendships they develop. Businesses rely on networking to obtain referrals, or sales leads, or simply to broaden their professional horizons. It is important to focus on networking as an exchange of information, contacts or experience.

Networking will always begin with a purpose in mind. It does you no good to attend any networking function unless you define your objectives to know why you are there.  Networking is all about building a trusting relationship with individuals, groups or organizations..  So, with that in mind, get out of the house, and begin building on broadening your horizon by meeting new people and sharing your ideas, interest or business opportunity with them.
